Šarec rejects the dialogue and the invitation to talk to President Pahor about tackling the epidemic, recovering from it, and the EU presidency!

Marjan Šarec, a former playwright actor inclined to comic roles, who became Prime Minister, apparently stubbornly insists that his legendary thrown away towel, his resignation, will be the only state-forming move in his political career. At the invitation of the President of the country, Borut Pahor, to all the presidents of the parliamentary parties to attend the meeting in the Presidential Palace, Šarec responded with nagging in the sense of “why are you never anti-Janša when we want that from you”.

President Borut Pahor has sent a state-forming invitation to all presidents of parliamentary parties to attend a meeting at the Presidential Palace, where the dialogue that we urgently need at the moment would be at the forefront. It is about key strategic issues on tackling the epidemic, its consequences, and the forthcoming EU presidency in the second half of this year.

Marjan Šarec, president of the LMŠ and former Prime Minister, responded to his invitation with nagging as to why he had not been on the side of the hysterical opposition several times in recent months. President Pahor sent an invitation to the presidents of the parliamentary parties to a meeting in the Presidential Palace, where they would try to establish a dialogue for the benefit of all.

Marjan Šarec has already responded and boasted about his answer on Twitter. In his response, he pointed out that he would have taken this invitation more sincerely if President Borut Pahor had ever reacted in recent months to the “destruction of democracy” that this government is allegedly doing. Which is a code for telling him why he did not pull with the opposition against Janša more often.

Let’s look at the level of Šarec’s record. It consists of two main criticisms:

1. You were not on our side enough last year.
2. We wanted to cooperate, but they rejected our proposals.

Nothing about why they rejected them, nothing about why the president was not on their side. We are on the side of truth and if you are not with us, you are against us. Not to mention the hypocrisy of the opposition parties, which had previously rejected the polite calls of Janez Janša and the SDS for cooperation year after year, but are now offended if any of their proposals are rejected.
