According to a poll, conducted for NOVA24TV by agency Parsifal in cooperation with “FUDŠ”, the vast majority of the public believes that the government is successful in fighting the new coronavirus epidemic and also believes that measures to curb the spread of the virus are appropriate. The vast majority, as many as 84.4 percent of respondents, believe that the Slovenian government is successful in the fight against the new coronavirus epidemic, with the combined assessments, being successful and very successful. 13.3 percent of respondents believe that it is not successful, with the combined assessments being unsuccessful and very unsuccessful. Respondents were also asked, what they thought about the restrictive measures the government has taken so far, to curb the spread of the new coronavirus. The vast majority, as many as 72.1 percent, believe that these measures are appropriate. 23.4 percent of respondents believe that they are not appropriate.
If the parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, the Slovenian Democratic Party would have circled the most, out of 509 identified respondents, namely 30.6 percent. They are followed by the LMŠ, which would be voted for by 17.9 percent of those defined and the Social Democrats, which are supported by 12.8 percent of those defined. Levica, which found itself in fourth place, would be supported by 9.5 percent of respondents. DeSUS was supported by 6.4 percent, NSi 6.2 percent, SNS 5.8 percent, SAB 3.7 percent, Pirati 3.4 percent, SLS plus NLS 2.8 percent, Dobra Država 0.8 percent and SMC 0.2 percent of respondents. SDS support so remains stable, compared to previous measurements and has even grown slightly. Compared to the previous month, support fell to the political parties LMŠ, SD, Levica and SMC. It has grown, however, to the NSi and DeSUS political parties.
A telephone public opinion poll was conducted for NOVA24TV between 6 May and 8 May 2020 by the Parsifal SC agency. It included 776 respondents. This means that the majority of the public does not share the opinion of left-wing protesters, who protested on bicycles in Ljubljana on Friday and tried to create the impression in the public, that everything is wrong under the new government. The truth is the other way around that the government is working very well, efficiently and successfully.
