Perverse: Fajon insulted Janša some time ago, today she is visiting Kyiv herself

By Tanja Brkić (Nova24tv.si)

Do you remember how Tanja Fajon inveighed against Janez Janša when he was one of the first to go to Kyiv, at a time when the Ukrainian capital was besieged from all sides? The things she said about him and called his visit, which was more than a brave sign of solidarity, a farce. Now she is visiting there herself. She claims that she went there with the intention of showing solidarity and support, but considering her great desire for attention and five minutes of fame, which she also proved during the “photo shoot” in a helicopter during the historic fire in the Karst, we can judge that her visit to Kyiv this time is also intended only – to seek attention and, of course, at a time when the situation is calm and stable.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanja Fajon, after inappropriately criticising Janša’s visit to Kyiv in a state of war, which actually reflected a sign of solidarity and courage, has now visited Kyiv herself. Let us remind you that Janez Janša went to Kyiv at a time when the Ukrainian capital was besieged from all sides and that his action required courage, which Fajon could not admit to herself at the time, so she condemned his action and called it a farce. And the defamation did not only happen among colleagues in Slovenia, but, as is typical for her, she also defamed the former Prime Minister to her German colleagues. Just as she came for her five minutes of fame after the fire in the Karst, when the worst was over, and took photos in a helicopter, so today she went to Kyiv.

Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon arrived today on a visit to Kyiv to express Slovenia’s political and practical support for Ukraine and its brave people, as she boasted on Twitter. When, as a sign of solidarity and support, Janez Janša was one of the first to go there, in a state of war, this same present-day “supporter” of Ukraine criticised him on Twitter, saying that it was a “wrong signal” and that the visit was a “farce”, and once again looked for anti-Janšism among her German colleagues. Her visit to Kyiv surprised many people, including former Prime Minister Janez Janša, who joked: “look, look, we even got @tfajon on the right track :)”

She sharply criticised Janša’s visit to Kyiv

At that time, it was clear as day that Fajon wanted to contribute to fuelling internal political discord with reactions like this one. It bothered her because Janša’s trip to Kyiv represented one of the biggest acts of foreign policy in history, and his visit was praised by many foreign media. Given that Fajon has proven in the past that she would only debate with the aggressor side that was deaf to calls for a cease-fire and express solidarity with Ukraine, but not help by delivering weapons that were crucial to the fight against the aggressor, her reaction to Janša’s visit did not surprise anyone, just as it is not surprising that she went there today for her five minutes of fame.

Will she advise the Ukrainians to put their weapons in the barracks?

It is kind of hypocritical that she went to Kyiv to show her support, considering that she has made it clear in the past that she is in favour of Russia. Let us remind you that with regard to Russia, Tanja Fajon has repeatedly emphasised that the way out of the crisis is only possible through dialogue with Russia and that lasting peace and stability of the EU cannot be achieved without dialogue with Russia, thereby somehow indicating what the new government’s attitude towards Russia will be. She probably will not tell the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, whom she plans to meet. Like she probably will not show them the photo in which she bows to the communist murderer Boris Kidrič. She will wisely keep quiet about it.

Of course, she waited for the right time to visit Kyiv. Time for the situation to calm down a bit, just as she waited for the right time when she came to take photos in the Karst during the historic fire. Many people lost a lot those days, and the landowners were left without forests and crops in fields. And the same will probably happen today in Kyiv. All for photography and fame when the worst was over.
