(OUTRAGEOUS) Will we have to accept working Saturdays due to the funding of left-wing non-governmental organisations?

By: Domen Mezeg (Nova24tv.si)

Just months ago, Minister Mesec was enthusiastic about implementing a four-day workweek, but the ruling party has already changed its tune. Now, they want people to work on Saturdays as well, and the daily allowances would be allocated for post-flood reconstruction. They are ready to “squeeze” the poor to the bone, just to avoid taking from their NGO “parasites”.

Opposition leader Janez Janša warned in an interview on RTV Slovenia that the Robert Golob’s government raised the allocation of financial resources for wasteful studies and NGOs from 8% to over 20%! He pointed out that they diverted money meant for flood protection and redirected it towards the political paramilitary. Now, they plan to repair this action by financially burdening the working class (here – in Slovene).

Like in Tito’s Yugoslavia: the government is introducing forced labour!

The discussion is about introducing voluntary working Saturdays, which was announced by not one, but two representatives of the ruling party. One of them, Tamara Vonta from the Gibanje Svoboda party, stated: “All days, all Saturdays, all those socialist Saturdays we worked, or my parents worked, for cultural centres, for the earthquake victims in the former Yugoslavia, etc. It is coming, these are the next steps.”

Forced solidarity: the government would help with foreign hands!

To confirm that this proposal is not pulled out of thin air, Minister Tanja Fajon also chimed in: “In the spirit of social democracy, we propose that we first help those who have lost everything in the devastating floods. Every second Saturday will be a solidarity day, where companies can contribute their profits to the Reconstruction Fund.” In good old left-wing fashion, the government would offer help with forced solidarity, much like we have seen with the EU’s migrant quotas.
