NSi were the first to publicly respond to Freedom Movement’s starting points for coalition negotiations, which also include a proposed division of ministries.
Once again, they are turning down Freedom Movement leader Robert Golob, who is offering them the possibility of leading three ministries. Cooperation in a joint government is not possible, they wrote. They announce continued efforts to form a centre‑right government.
“The joint list of NSi, SLS and Fokus does not share common values with the Freedom Movement and Robert Golob, nor do we align in key programme goals,” NSi wrote on the social network X.
They repeated that Slovenia needs a change in political direction. At the same time, they announced that they would work toward forming “a stable and development‑oriented centre‑right government.”
NSi also did not respond to previous post‑election meetings to which Freedom Movement had invited them, along with other lists elected to the National Assembly, with the exception of SDS, in the past two weeks.
Today, the relative winner of the elections, Freedom Movement, announced that they have prepared the starting points for forming a coalition agreement, as well as the first proposal for the organisational structure of a “government of national unity.” It would include 16 ministries: seven would be taken by Freedom Movement, three were offered to the NSi–SLS–Fokus trio, and two each to SD, the Democrats, Levica, and Vesna. The party Resni.ca is being offered separate cooperation on individual programme priorities.
