Lisjak Gabrijelčič, Milosavljević and Štular spread lies for the German ZDF, to which Ana Hmelak from Ljubljana has already reacted sharply: You know nothing! Slovenian journalists are not telling you the truth!

»You should be ashamed of your reports today – a commentary on the political situation in Slovenia at 5 p.m. I don’t know if ZDF has a journalist in Slovenia who at least understands the Slovenian language and has at least some knowledge about our current government,« Ana Hmelak from Ljubljana wrote sharply in a special letter to the editorial office of the German ZDF.

The German television ZDF had a report on Slovenia today at 5 pm, which was 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. They compared the center-right Slovenian government to Viktor Orban, especially talking about the alleged suffering and persecution of fair journalists. They had a short excerpt of Janez Janša’s statement though, which was 13 seconds long, but the main word was given by three people: director of Radio Slovenia Mirko Štular, publicist and student of Soros University in Budapest Luka Lisjak Gabrijelčič and media »expert« Marko Milosavljević.

»You should be ashamed of your reports today – a commentary on the political situation in Slovenia at 5 p.m. I don’t know if ZDF has a journalist in Slovenia who at least understands the Slovenian language and has at least some knowledge about our current government,« Ana Hmelak wrote in a letter to the ZDF editorial office, adding:

»Slovenian journalists who provide you with such information and who were once probably communists, but are now, for example, liberal socialists, are not capable and do not want to provide you with real and true information about our government.«

We publish her letter in full (the original letter in German is below the text):

»ZDF Reports – commentary on the political situation in Slovenia today at 5 p.m.

Dear ladies and gentlemen!

You should be ashamed of your reports today – a commentary on the political situation in Slovenia at 5 p.m. I don’t know if ZDF has a journalist in Slovenia who at least understands the Slovenian language and has at least some knowledge about our current government.

You have no right to do such a thing! You should first learn the language and then inquire about the actual political situation in our country! Germany is not a perfect country either. Instead of reporting on political and other problems in Germany, you are reporting on policies and politicians in other countries. You take the freedom (right) to know everything about everything, but you don’t really know anything! Slovenian journalists who provide you with such information and who were once probably communists, but are now, for example, liberal socialists, are not capable and do not want to provide you with real and true information about our government.

I just wonder if you were rewarded in any way for the lies about our government in today’s 5pm reports!

I greet you warmly and repeat: “Shame on you!”

Ana Hmelak
