The controversial President of the National Assembly and Vice President of the Gibanje Svoboda, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, has already elicited many sharp reactions with her extreme statements and actions. Now she has stirred controversy again with her statement about the candidate for US President, Donald Trump, provoking a strong response from one of the journalists.
Klakočar Zupančič commented on the recent assassination attempt on Trump for Nedelo, and she was apparently disturbed by the public’s reaction, which mostly condemned the attempt. She stated, “If we consider Trump a martyr, something is wrong with the world.”
Journalist and columnist for the Portal24 website, known on the social network X (formerly Twitter) by the nickname Johanca, quickly responded to Klakočar Zupančič on social media. In response to Klakočar Zupančič’s statement, she wrote, “If we consider UKZ (Urška Klakočar Zupančič, ed. A.V.) an intellectual, something is wrong with the world.”
This statement about Klakočar Zupančič’s remarks and actions is not far from the truth.
