How the media got tangled up regarding Tanja Fajon! It has been revealed that no one criticised Slovenia, only the procedure in Brussels!

On the Slovenian left, whether in politics or in the media, they simply cannot get over the fact that Tanja Fajon did not get the well‑paid position for which she allocated so much taxpayer money.

To conceal the real core of the problem with her candidacy, similar to the case of the black cube, they are now once again trying in every possible way to smear Janez Janša’s government for the fact that the appointment did not happen.

In their latest attempt, they tried to convince people that Europe criticised Slovenia for such conduct. But as it turns out, they completely tangled themselves up and once again proved that they report in a way that suits them, not according to the principle of honest information for citizens. “Misleading and political spin by @Euractiv, which the main Slovenian media now conveniently repeat, cannot change the facts. None of the mentioned countries criticised Slovenia or the Slovenian government. The discussion concerned only the nomination procedure within the EU and the conduct of the competent European institutions. Claiming that seven countries ‘criticised Slovenia’ is simply untrue,” pointed out Minister Tone Kajzer.

Dr Žiga Turk also warned that Slovenian media misled the public: “Here is the original article that Slovenian media are circulating about Fajon. The first sentence reads: ‘Seven countries, including France and Spain, criticised Slovenia’s move to prevent its former foreign minister from taking a senior post in the European External Action Service in Brussels, Euractiv reveals.’ Then the article speaks only about how these countries criticised the procedure in Brussels. Nothing about them saying anything about Slovenia. THE KEY POINT IS THIS: It does not matter at all whether they criticised Slovenia or not. It could not be less important! We are a sovereign country, not a vassal entity of France, Spain, Belgium, or Brussels. They can think whatever they want.”
