“An expert group has been set up to assist the ministries in the creation of the first #anti-corona law package #PKP1 with the priority of rapid financial assistance to the population to prevent and mitigate the effects of the epidemic. The group is led by dr. Matej Lahovnik,” prime minister Janez Jansa announced the new steps and guidelines of the government on Twitter.
After the most urgent steps have been taken to slow down and curb the coronavirus epidemic, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia is accelerating the preparation of the first comprehensive legal package to assist the population and the economy.
Prime minister Janez Jansa has revealed that the Government of the Republic of Slovenia will discuss and adopt the guidelines for the preparation of the package at Monday’s session, and the draft law will be prepared by Friday. As he points out, the measures foreseen in the guidelines will be coordinated with the most important participants.
As Jansa pointed out on Twitter, the presidents and chairmen of the coalition parties SDS, SMC, NSi and DeSUS yesterday night coordinated the first orientations, which will be part of the draft guidelines for #PKP1, including:
– Rewarding employees and those involved in critical activities during the epidemic (health, civil protection, security, critical infrastructure, etc.) following a decision by superiors ranging from 10 to 200 percent of the basic salary allowance.
– Recommendation to employers in the economy for a similar approach in their businesses, especially in the trade of basic consumer goods, etc.
– The manner and amount of the remuneration of the employees of the companies, which had to discontinue production or business in whole or in part because of the epidemic.
– Reduction of all official salaries at the national level by 30 percent for the duration of the epidemic. Payment of crisis allowance to pensioners and the most vulnerable social groups for the duration of the epidemic.
– How to assess the economic damage caused to economic operators by the epidemic and to establish a general framework for compensation.
