Has the state budget become Tina Gaber’s personal wallet?

By: Moja Dolenjska

Prime Minister Golob’s companion, Tina Gaber, has a representative who, “on her behalf and for her benefit,” takes care of all “her personal and legal matters” – generously paid at taxpayers’ expense. No previous Slovenian prime minister has ever allowed anything like this.

Robert Golob, often referred to on social media as Tina Gaber’s boyfriend, hired Gaber’s close friend into the Prime Minister’s Office “on trust” – with a salary that exceeds all bounds of reason.

Many are questioning whether this is even legal. On what basis is a person, who handles the personal affairs of the Prime Minister’s partner, employed in his official cabinet? The government has not denied that Gaber was part of the delegation to the United States. Let’s recall: some time ago, during former President Joe Biden’s term (right before the U.S. elections), a delegation travelled to the U.S., even though they were not officially invited to the White House. The total cost of that trip has still not been disclosed to the public. Government-aligned media remain silent on the matter.

This raises many questions – among them: Has the state budget become Tina Gaber’s personal wallet?

And who is the authorised representative handling Gaber’s personal matters? The name and details were revealed some time ago on the show Planet18.

It is her close friend, Pina Weisseisen, who is employed in Golob’s office on a trust basis, with a gross monthly salary of €5,567.86, plus an additional €400 hardship bonus.

Tina Gaber signed a power of attorney authorising Pina Weisseisen to manage all her personal and legal affairs, including issues related to her right to image and name.
