Golob’s Government Is Aiming For Total Subjugation Of The Media: The Director Of The Second Most Influential Web Portal Has Been Removed

By: Sara Kovač / Nova24tv

At a recent correspondence meeting, the Supervisory Board of the Telekom Slovenije company agreed to the appointment of Irma Gubanec as a director of the TSmedia company, reports Spletni časopis (Online Newspaper). The company was previously headed by former editor and journalist Rajko Gerič, who was prematurely dismissed after more than a year of being in charge of the company. TSMedia is an important company, as it has been publishing Siol.net, the country’s second-most-read web portal, for the last two years.

Gubanec took over the management of TSMedia on Saturday, which is important because the company in question has been publishing the Siol.net web portal for the last two years, which is the second most widely read web portal in the country, after 24ur.com (which is POP TV’s web portal). In addition, the company also owns Najdi.si, Bizi, and other websites.

Irma Gubanec, who was recently appointed as a member of the Management Board of the company Telekom Slovenije and previously held senior positions at the Port Koper, the Delo newspaper, and was also a financial manager at the national media outlet Radio-Television Slovenia, will lead the Telekom-owned company TSMedia until a new Director-General is appointed, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange announced recently.

The replacements are the result of the elections and then an early dismissal. First, the government of Robert Golob replaced part of the Supervisory Board of the Slovenian Sovereign Holding early (with the help of the majority in the National Assembly), which allowed for the replacement of the Slovenian Sovereign Holding Management Board, and the latter then replaced the Supervisory Board of Telekom, which led to the early replacement of the Telekom Management Board, and the new Telekom management immediately dismissed Rajko Gerič.
