The “Patriots Slo” profile has nothing to do with caterers, but it seems it was created by an ultra-leftist group under the pretext of fighting for caterers disadvantaged during the COVID-19 crisis. Clearly, it is trying to engage all subgroups of Slovenian society in a political struggle through groundless actions against Janša’s government. All of this, in order to overthrow the coalition and establish one that will suit their appetites.
The ingenuity and lust for power of the transitional left knows no bounds. This time, it seems, the ultra-leftist group is active once again and it is trying to engage Slovenian caterers into a political struggle. On their profile, Patriots Slo, which has absolutely nothing to do with caterers, they advertise a “MEETING OF UNITED CATERERS”, which is supposed to take place on Monday, December 7 at 7 pm at Trg republike in Ljubljana. At the same time, it is more than obvious that this is just another vile deception, as the current government has done more than enough with anti-COVID aid packages for this part of the Slovenian society, which does not share beliefs with the organizers of such inciting rallies.
Recently, some left-wing politicians in cooperation with the left-wing media, have tried to portray caterers as victims of government measures, choosing chef Ana Roš as their springboard. President of the SAB party, Alenka Bratušek, in her recent post on Twitter, grossly manipulated the statements of the director of Nova24TV, Boris Tomašič, from his recent show entitled Who is lying to you?. The party president was appalled that Nova24TV’s “journalists” had allegedly insulted “chef grandmaster” Roš, who had wondered how she would pay salaries to employees with closed restaurants during the declared epidemic.
Tomašič commented on the biased reporting of POP TV, among other things: “This government is taking measures. When it took steps to help tourism and give out tourist vouchers you were dissatisfied again saying this was irrelevant, that it made no sense, and so on. You have the option of waiting for work, a plethora of other measures and the sixth anti-COVID law is being prepared and five have already been adopted. The government is making an effort – caterers, everyone who is affected, organizers of fairs, events, etc., do talk to the government. We are looking for solutions. But do not spit and attack, as if the government were taking something from you. The government is trying to prevent a crisis, it wants to stop the epidemic. Is this so hard to understand? Its goal is not to harm caterers. It did not restrict the work of caterers because it does not like them or because it wants to harm them.”
While Janša’s government is successfully tackling the COVID crisis, it is constantly experiencing deliberate discrediting by the mainstream media, left-wing opposition politicians, various “cultural figures” and non-governmental organizations funded with taxpayers’ money. One of the last such actions were the extremely violent protests, which were by making allowances and encouragement, co-created by the media such as POP TV: “The media is co-responsible for this. You supported them for months and “fed them”. The media contributed to today’s escalation. Now you have a wounded policeman,” Minister Aleš Hojs accused POP TV journalist Katarina Matejčič after the most violent protest so far.
“Violence has escalated. Antifa members attacked police officers who listed a protester who provoked in Serbian. “One policeman was kicked in the back,” Nova24TV journalist Luka Svetina reported in front of Trg republike. He added that other police officers on horsebacks and Top News journalist Vladimir Vodušek were also attacked. Ljubljana looked like a real war zone, as hooligans threw pyrotechnic products, granite cubes and other objects, leaving behind destroyed property. And worst of all – injured people, including police officers.
