According to a reliable source, Tina Gaber and Robert Golob call Marko Jug, the director of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, whenever they notice anything “suspicious” on themselves – be it a strange mark on the skin or anything else. The source claims that the couple sees the state as their own, and no one at the medical centre dares to oppose them or take any action.

Experts note that Tina Gaber behaves similarly to Marie Antoinette, wife of French King Louis XVI. After marrying Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette was initially popular, but her lavish lifestyle and political influence quickly eroded that popularity.

Traumatologist Marko Jug is widely seen as a politically appointed director of the University Medical Centre (UKC) Ljubljana. His appointment was part of Robert Golob’s staffing strategy when the government replaced numerous officials in public institutions, including healthcare. Put plainly: Golob carried out a political purge and installed his friend at UKC Ljubljana.

Under Jug’s leadership, UKC Ljubljana is reportedly turning into a healthcare institution for the personal needs of Robert Golob and, evidently, his partner, now officially his wife.

Let’s recall: in 2023, Golob underwent hernia surgery at UKC, which sparked public outrage due to long waiting lists. He was admitted at least once more out of turn, following a leg injury. Staff reported having to clear and reserve the only elevator for Golob, and medical personnel were reassigned to ensure the Prime Minister’s every need was met.

Jug was appointed acting director of UKC Ljubljana in September 2022, following the resignation of then-director Jože Golobič, a lawyer. He began his full mandate in June 2023. According to Delo newspaper, in September 2022 Jug stated that he saw himself as a technical solution for a limited period and did not consider himself the ideal long-term candidate. He later changed his mind and ran for a full mandate.

Some media outlets have also reported that Tina Gaber has received treatment or undergone examinations at UKC in the past. According to reports, she was hospitalised at the Gynaecology Clinic of UKC Ljubljana a week before the Prime Minister’s trip to Paris. Other patients were allegedly relocated to ensure she had a room. Security personnel were reportedly seen in the hallway. No official public source has confirmed these claims.

UKC Ljubljana is the largest healthcare institution in Slovenia, comprising 23 clinics and hospitals with over 11,000 employees. Its financial performance in recent years has been negative.

Shortly after taking office, Golob’s government pledged to replace all hospital directors operating at a loss within a year. This did not happen, because one of the first to be replaced would have been “their own” Marko Jug. UKC Ljubljana posted a €45.7 million loss last year, and €33 million the year before.

Employees at UKC, who witness all of this, including what they describe as the calls and “hysteria” of Robert Golob and Tina Gaber, say that anyone who votes for them again is a “complete servant.” They are appalled, stating: “We work hard. And the country is run by a parallel guard that does not understand democracy. Does not understand who pays taxes. Who elected them. Whom they answer to.”
