POP TV, with the help of the destroyers of measures, is showing support for Friday’s cyclists, who changed their name to the Alliance of Civil Society, and to the former Minister of Health Dušan Keber. In doing so, similar media advertise those who help to overthrow the government during the worst crisis since the independence and consequently to overthrow its successful work in the economic and health fields.
Prime Minister Janez Janša responded to reports from the “impartial” and “credible” media POP TV or 24ur, which offers promotion to the destroyers of the current government, especially to the former Minister of Health Dušan Keber, thus supporting someone who undermines its work to curb the consequences of the biggest crisis in Slovenia since independence. Namely, it is about supporting hysterical Friday’s political cyclists, who have been actively involved in the spread of the new coronavirus since the spring, with their mass, unreported rallies and lack of compliance with health regulations, and thus had a strong impact on deteriorating health, especially now with the second wave of the pandemic, when Slovenia found itself at the very top of Europe in terms of the number of infections.
24ur reports that the aforementioned political cyclists have renamed themselves the Alliance of Civil Society, which is supposed to address a public call to the National Assembly to stop the government, which they believe is abusing the current epidemic for what they call “accelerated introduction of authoritarian rule”. Friday’s political cycling is expected to be suspended, while at the same time the civil alliance across the country will be strengthened. The already mentioned alliance is also to be joined by cultural, environmental and trade union organisations, as well as numerous collectives, which, as they call it, have a “joint effort to resolve the crisis, democracy and the rule of law“. Therefore, they gathered in front of the National Assembly, to which they addressed a so-called public call, urging them to stop the current government, which they believe is abusing the epidemic to introduce authoritarian rule. MPs, however, believe they have a right and a duty to recall such a government.
The call is expected to be signed by over 40 organisations and many influencers, including academics, lecturers, businessmen, doctors, lawyers and, surprisingly, artists or “artists”. The call was made by five proponents, and twelve other civil society groups are expected to join it. They accuse the government of: “Pursuing its narrow political agenda, partisan staffing, privatisation of social activities and state property, dismantling the social state, corrupt healthcare deals, misuse of public money, subordination of the police, destruction of public service broadcasting (RTV) and attacks on media, civil society and all dissent”. At the same time, the government is required to focus its work solely on the epidemic, and in all other areas to conduct only current affairs, withdraw “disputed” media legislation and return to its original state all “disputed” staffing. Above all, they are proposing the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior, Aleš Hojs. They added: “We want to connect different organisations and agents, as we believe that by working together against the current government, we can ensure that people’s well-being, health and democracy are at the forefront.“
Keber, who, as a former health minister, could be more concerned about the health of his fellow citizens, shows his sense of political activism and the overthrow of the government.
SMC MP Monika Gregorčič also responded to a similar “promotional record” on the web portal of the national television RTV, writing: “Well, they should only ask for funding from the budget… I am still surprised by the priorities of dr. Keber, who prefers to focus on politics and the overthrow of the government during the worst health crisis. Where did his noble medical mission get lost?” In their record on national television, they also stated who makes up the five representatives of the alliance: Jaša Jenull, Tea Jarc, Dušan Keber, Darko Štrajn and Mina Milanko. At the same time, it is surprising to see the presence of Keber, who is a former Minister of Health and is certainly aware of the seriousness of the current health situation, but obviously gives priority to political activism and the overthrow of the government, i.e. political and other interests over the health of his fellow citizens. Keber joined one of Friday’s recent “truth rallies” in early October and said provocatively: “The fight for public health is a fight for the new country we want to live in.” It is a kind of controversy, as it is known that Keber has co-created chaos in healthcare.
We have recently written about this initiative of political cyclists, even before the matter became really public. The president of the Mladih plus union, Jarčeva, known for her connections with financial speculator Georg Soroš, and a great supporter of Tanja Fajon and Ivo Vajgl, which resulted in her being awarded the position of assistant, this time stirred the spirits again. Online she had been sending politically motivated appeal to unknown individuals and trade unions. The appeal was against the current Janša government, under the pretext that it was a fight for democracy and the good of Slovenian citizens, even though it was only left-wing political activism. The text also contains a link to the petition and a document demanding what the current government is supposed to do and what she believes it is not allowed to do. The petition is published at this link. We are also enclosing a document that was circulating on the Internet when everything was even more “mysterious”.
