A 20 Percent Increase in Infections in One Week – All Thanks to Mlekuš, Musar, the Constitutional Court, Stevanović, Kučan …

By: Sara Kovač / Nova24tv

“The results of the work of Slovenian Trade Union of Police Officers, Nataša Pirc Musar, and the Constitutional Court are becoming apparent today – with 531 new infections, which is a 20 percent increase from last week,” Minister of the Interior Aleš Hojs commented on the increase in the number of infections on Saturday. We should also add the Wednesday and Friday protesters to the list of “culprits,” as well as all anti-vaxxers and influencers who are spreading fake news on social networks.

On Saturday, the healthcare workers performed 2,438 PCR tests for the novel coronavirus, of which 531 cases were confirmed to be positive, as published by the National Institute of Public Health. The seven-day average of confirmed infections is currently at 879, which is 12 more than the day before. In the last 14 days, the healthcare workers confirmed an average of 583 infections per 100 thousand inhabitants, which is one less than the average on the day before, according to the data of the National Institute of Public Health.

On Saturday, 14,806 rapid tests were also performed, which, if positive, are also checked with an additional PCR test. The share of positive PCR tests was 1.9 percentage points higher on Saturday than it was on Friday.
According to the data of the National Institute of Public Health, 1,128,800 people have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the covid-19 vaccine so far, and 1,008,167 have already received all the required doses of the vaccine.

Who will “pay the price” for this?
Those who oppose the measures to curb the spread of the virus are responsible for the trend of the spreading infection not slowing down.  Thus, in the last week alone, we saw the Slovenian Trade Union of Police Officers oppose vaccination in the Slovenian police with the help of lawyer Nataša Pirc Musar, who, under their authority, is challenging the ordinances and spreading the anti-government legal war in the media, and – last but not least – the Constitutional Court is helping them in their opposition, as it is following them in its decisions. In addition, we should also add the organisers of the Wednesday and Friday protests to the list of people responsible for a higher number of infections, as well as the influencers and celebrities who attend and support the protests. Movie director Branko Đurić bragged that more than 100 thousand people attended the rallies, and singers Saška Lendero and Werner Brozović even fell ill, claiming that they had the flu. However, the competent institutions have so far not confirmed a single case of the flu this autumn.

Currently, the hospitals are treating 428 patients with covid, which is two more than yesterday. Among them, 123 need intensive care, which is five more than the day before. Five covid patients have died.
