Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has paid an emotional tribute to her character Danaerys Targaryen ahead of tonight’s finale.
The 32-year-old actress took to Instagram to express her sadness at the hit HBO series coming to an end and said that her role as the mother of dragons has shaped her “as a woman, as an actor and as a human being”.
Emilia, who has starred in Game of Thrones since the first season in 2011, said that Khaleesi had “taken up the whole of her heart”.
Sharing candid photos of her co-stars in their costumes and at drinks, she wrote: ” Finding the words to write this post has left me overwhelmed with how much I want to say but how small words feel in comparison to what this show and Dany have meant to me.
