Artist Max Siedentopf is blessing the desert down in Africa with a new installation sharing the joys of Toto’s 1982 hit.
Toto’s hit song Africa is set to “keep going for all eternity” thanks to a sound installation set up in the world’s oldest desert to play the track on loop.
Namibian-German artist Max Siedentopf is behind the installation in the Namib Desert, which consists of six speakers attached to an MP3 featuring Africa, and Africa only.
The multiplatinum-selling soft rock classic, released in 1982, has enjoyed something of a resurgence in the digital era, becoming one of the most-streamed songs of 2017 with just under 18 million plays in the UK.
