Black woman to portray a Viking chieftain in Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla

By A.S.

We often report about the leftist attempts to rewrite, change or erase European history, which is becoming a trend both in educational institutions as well as in the entertainment industry. A new case of such trends is the upcoming Netflix show Vikings: Valhalla, which will be in a way a sequel of the popular series Vikings.

The series takes place about a century after the happenings of The Vikings last season and follows the adventures of historical persons such as Leif Erikson, a Viking who “discovered” America, Norman king William the Conqueror, and among others a Viking chieftain Jarl Haakon. But in all their progressive wisdom the creators of the show decided that the great chieftain of the Northmen will be played by a black woman.

Jarl Haakon will be portrayed by Caroline Henderson, a black actress and a jazz-pop singer, born in Sweden and living in Denmark. On its Twitter profile, Netflix states that Hakon is “a great warrior, tolerant leader, and ruler of Kattegat”. Although Netflix is well known for its distortion of history and promotion of LGBT causes and multiculturalism, it seems that by portraying a Scandinavian ruler as a black woman, it seems that the creators are taking the whole political correctness diversity mania one step further.

The popular show Vikings which followed the life of a Viking hero Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons was also full of notable historical inaccuracies as well as a portion of modern liberal propaganda, such as some main characters having same-sex relationships. Even if we are not talking about the history books or student’s books, but about a fictional historical entertainment show, such distortion of European history and past is still very worrying, maybe even more, since today the entertainment industry has a huge influence on people, and they perceive their own past, history, and ancestors based on such TV-shows and movies.
