Prime Minister Janez Janša met today with the management representatives of the Firefighting Association of Slovenia. The Firefighting Association of Slovenia was entrusted by the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services (CTIF) with the implementation of the Firefighting Olympics (International Fire Brigade Competitions), which will take place in Celje this year.
The competitions are organised every four years and are attended by competitors of all age categories from 30 countries of Europe and the world.
The talks with the Prime Minister focused on the above-mentioned Olympics. In addition, the functioning of the umbrella firefighting association was presented and the contribution of government measures in improving the conditions of firefighting organisations highlighted.
