When “woke” becomes a ravenous wolf

It is clear that sports are no longer what they used to be. If we thought that the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris was the pinnacle of the decadence of the Western world, the events that followed during the games brought us back to reality. A boxing match where a man, identifying as a woman, defeated a real woman was just the tip of the iceberg.

Of course, this is far from the only problem. In many places, under the influence of woke ideology, the losers have been declared winners, and the real winners have been declared losers. And all this solely because of the “right” or “wrong” skin colour. One could call it reversed racism. Results no longer matter, nor do the rules of the game.

In short, a complete abolition of fair play. And at the highest level. Even feminists, who should be the first to fight against the insane trends of men with “trans” identities competing in women’s categories, have fallen silent. But if you carefully observe the emergence of such constructs, which are also eroding elite sports from within, you can conclude that this is not a new phenomenon. It is the devil dressed as an angel of light, offering a solution and presenting itself as something good. The idea is that we must be woke and fight against racism, prejudice, and discrimination. And to introduce an antidote to racism by implementing reversed racism.

It is therefore not surprising that Dr Matjaž Gams said in an interview for Delo in July this year that woke ideology is actually reversed fascism. Which was, in fact, already “anti-fascism” of the communist avant-garde, which behaved extremely fascist and racist towards the people. As historian Dr Jože Dežman once said, the totalitarian regime introduced so-called party racism. Therefore, all these messianic ideologies that “save the world” (including the green agenda) are merely wolves in sheep’s clothing. They operate on the principle of mimicry: their protégés appear as victims on the outside, but in reality, they are nothing more than toxic predators. And perhaps an interesting observation: the Slovenian word “volk” (wolf) sounds the same as the English word “woke”. Probably not by coincidence. The tragedy is that these predatory ideologies are now an integral part of European politics. Including Slovenian.

We live in truly crazy times: while a year after the catastrophic floods, many lofty promises of the government remain unfulfilled—and yes, we have already received a new batch of Golob’s promises, which have temporarily pacified the mayor of Črna na Koroškem—the government is preoccupied with such absurdities as a regulation on how we will barbecue in the future. Well, those grilling pleskavice and čevapčiči on the streets of Ljubljana will likely be exempt from these rules, considering how untouchable Ljubljana’s mayor (and the real boss of Golob’s government) Zoran Janković is, both for tax authorities and law enforcement. It seems that the ruling elite would also like to be untouchable by public opinion, which is why it is not surprising that Golob’s companion ranted on social media about why people are commenting on her not going to Paris.

Is it then surprising that the ruling elite yearns for the days when verbal offenses were enshrined in the penal code? The infamous Ljubo Bavcon would probably be loudly applauding Golob’s coalition right now. Every such corrupt government must eventually come to an end. Just as Venezuela’s leftist autocrat stepped on the landmine of his own arrogance and became “ripe fruit” (Spanish: fruto maduro) that could easily be plucked from the tree, our time of reckoning will also come. Perhaps as early as this autumn. However, the mere resignation of the government and the calling of preliminary elections will not be enough.

We will need to confront all the baggage of the past and present that has led Slovenia’s transition into a dead end. And establish strict, truly strict oversight over the execution of future parliamentary elections. As well as sweep away all the demagoguery with which the propaganda machine of the transitional left has so far successfully convinced a large part of the public to vote in the manner of “anyone but Janša”. Or to stay home on election day. This propaganda machinery must be irrevocably ended! Away with the wolves of transition!
