Stane Dolanc, a gravedigger (mushroom picker) from Martuljek Forest, said almost half a century ago: “It must be clear to everyone that we, the communists, are in power here, because if it were not us, there would be someone else, but this is not the case, and it will never be the case.” Milan Kučan, the favourite student of the other man of the Yugoslav party, faithfully fulfilled this mission and passed on his “knowledge” to, as SD MP Marko Koprivc would say, the proud successors of the League of Communists. And if it happens “by mistake” that someone else is in power who does not have the most deadly and bloody worldview of the 20th century, it follows what the murdered Ivan Kramberger, according to Dolanc, prophetically predicted exactly 20 years ago: “And when they will not rule, I add, then they will protest and call for the death of those who rule, but they are not from their ranks.”

It was like that all the time after independence. If governments did not assemble the red monsters disguised as Social and Liberal Democrats, media pogroms, staged trials, the most basely discreditations, and granite-clad protests followed. The irony is that for these people, who despise not only dissenters but every other worldview, democracy has become a sacred word. They perceive themselves as democratic and advocates of freedom, labelling all those who disagree with them as authoritarian and enemies of democracy. In their thought processes, which have taken shape over the decades, the (bourgeois) right is prone to racism and fascism, the middle class, which is the pillar of the free-market system and the driver of development, is still their greatest enemy. And for this struggle, they use the vocabulary of the “enemy”: they speak and promise in the language of the middle class, while acting by suppressing it. At the same time, they are creating a false middle class that will be completely dependent on them and prone to parasitism.

When some right-wing or centre-right government allows the real middle class (entrepreneurs) to breathe with full lungs again, it is a sign of a violent expression of leftist frustrations. They believe that only they are entitled to govern society and the state, that they know best what is right and what is wrong, that democracy is what leftists imagine. And whoever does not support them in doing so is a fascist. Like the members of the Professional Association of Nursing and Midwifery Care Providers of Slovenia became fascists overnight, when they dared to condemn the actions of Brigita Skela Savič (SD), who called on people to protest despite the aggravated epidemiological situation.

Today you are a fascist if you support government action. You are a fascist if you act differently from what leftists and their media servants say. You are a fascist and an autocrat if, in accordance with your powers, you do not extend the term of office of the president of the management of a state-owned company, who took the position with the help of left-wing politics and imagined that he would stay there until retirement. Of course, when the left is staffing, it is professional staffing, when the right is staffing, it is political staffing and abuse of power. So read Dolanc’s words and Kramberger’s prediction again. To date, nothing has changed.

It is time to judge whose country Slovenia is. Do the “proud successors of the League of Communists” really have the exclusive right to lead and manage it? Is progressive ideology really the only salvation and allowed? Do leftists really have the right to bypass all the rules (yes, law and order are labelled undemocratic, but only when the right rules) and literally terrorise others on the streets and roads through corpses? Who will stop these guerrilla actions of leftists hidden under the melodious names of non-governmental organisations (from Metelkova)? Do people even realise that their lives will be darker than the darkest if we leave the decision to the hooligans? History proves that (red) revolutions have always been deadly to good and god-fearing people, that they have brought only devastation and sorrow. Today, of course, a coordinated and systematic attack is carried out differently than a hundred years ago, but with the same consequences. Our future therefore demands that we fight and that we remember the legendary times of this generation after we have also liberated ourselves, not just become independent.
