Can a 2-year-old child be a (war) prisoner? Or a 4-year-old? Common sense tells you no. But that is exactly how the national RTV Slovenia described Kfir (2) and Ariel (5) – as former Hamas captives. Former, because they are now dead.
And now they have been returned to Israel in black coffins. Before that, in an orchestrated public spectacle observed by crowds of Palestinians, they were put on display for all to see. Even worse – along with the remains of Oded Lifshitz, Hamas also returned what was allegedly the body of their mother, Shiri Bibas. It turned out that this was not their mother, but an as-yet unidentified woman. What happened to Shiri remains unknown; given Hamas’s proven sadism, it is reasonable to assume that she was tortured, raped, and murdered in a horrific way.
The Red Cross actively participated in this horrifying and despicable act, having never demanded that the terrorists allow them to visit the hostages. This international organisation, which claims to be humanitarian, will never wash away this dark stain. And we will never forget the report from RTV Slovenia. The once-smiling images of the red-haired Bibas children will haunt the responsible journalists and editors for the rest of their lives. The state-owned media house has now reached moral rock bottom. From the very beginning – when, on October 7th, 2023, thousands of rampaging men from Gaza stormed into Israel (their targets were not military; they attacked a music festival and small civilian communities) – the rat pack of left-wing activists at Kolodvorska Street tried to cover up the sadistic murders, torture, mass rapes, and slaughter of babies. They continuously portrayed the terrorist organisation Hamas as some sort of “liberation” movement.
And while the skies wept for the massacre of innocent people, they actively participated in protests in the centre of Ljubljana in support of supposedly innocent Palestinians. They did not accuse Hamas of genocide – but instead Israel, which launched retaliatory measures against the sadistic Muslim-Arab group. This was a media ethical collapse the likes of which Slovenia has never seen before.
That is why the mandatory RTV contribution must be immediately abolished without delay. We are forced to pay it, thus funding a brood that sympathises with terrorists. Let’s see if they can survive in the market with their extreme leftist propaganda. Since they claim to be so independent and high-quality, surely people will voluntarily give them money, right? But we should not stop there. RTV Slovenia is state-owned, meaning the government (probably the next one, which will be right-wing) must, as the manager of state assets, immediately begin dismantling and selling off this media disgrace.
As if all this were not enough, a mosque towers over the centre of Ljubljana. The construction of this foreign architectural intrusion in Slovenia’s capital was financed by Qata*, a country that actively and demonstrably supports terrorism. I can confidently repeat the words of journalist Khaled Abu Toameh: “Qatar is Hamas, and Hamas is Qatar. Qatar launched the war against Israel with the help of Hamas; the declaration of war was broadcast on Al Jazeera.” That is why we cannot take pride in having a building on Parmova Street stained with Qatar’s bloody hands. In 2022, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the Ljubljana Muslim Cultural Centre, as the Islamic centre is euphemistically called. He belongs to the Thani family, which in 2012 was the first to visit Hamas terrorists in Gaza and publicly support them. For years, Qatar hosted several Hamas leaders, including Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh, who lived in luxury hotels and villas in Doha, treated like heads of state. Today, Qatar is supposedly a mediator between the terrorists and Israel. This is perverse. Qatar is part of the problem, not the solution. So let me repeat Toameh’s words: Qatar is Hamas, and Hamas is Qatar. Hamas must be destroyed – no Hamas, no problem. Or put differently: no Palestinians in Gaza, no problem.
And in Slovenia – without RTV Slovenia, there is one less burden on our wallets. No more leftist propaganda. Whoever wants to watch, listen, or read it should pay for it themselves. €170 per year, which we are forced to pay under threat of force, is no small amount.
