The deep state, with the help of the media and selected public opinion agencies, is artificially boasting its new “anointed one”.
Ahead of this year’s elections, the story we have been following for more than a decade seems to be repeating itself. The transitional left and its associated backgrounds try to speak to a large part of the electorate with so-called new face, which fluctuates fluidly from one party to another from election to election. If more than a decade ago it was Zoran Janković, then Miro Cerar and finally Marjan Šarec, it is now Robert Golob.
In recent weeks, we have witnessed the fact that the dominant media are promoting the best paid or overpaid director of one of the state monopoly companies. As a result, we are witnessing the creation of public opinion through polls. The most “creative” agency is Mediana, which is known for “boasting” Šarec a lot even before the previous elections, however, then he got much less votes than expected in the elections. According to their latest poll conducted for RTVS, the Movement Svoboda under Golob’s leadership would be voted for by a good fifth of respondents (20.2 percent), which is 6.8 percentage points more than in January. It would be followed by SDS with 15 percent support (three percentage points more than in January), Levica with seven percent (increase by 2.6 percentage points), SD with 6.6 percent (0.4 percentage points more), LMŠ with 5.2. percent (1.2 percentage points more), 4.9 percent of respondents would vote for NSi (1.5 percentage points more), and 4.2 percent of respondents would vote for Naša dežela (down by 1.5 percentage points). They would be followed by SAB (3.2 percent), SNS (2.5 percent), Povežimo Slovenijo, which included Konkretno, SLS, Zeleni Slovenije, NLS, and Novi socialdemokrati (2.3 percent), Pirati party (2.1 percent), LIDE (1.4 percent), Dobra država (1.3 percent), and DeSUS (0.5 percent). Among those surveyed, 11.2 percent do not yet know who to vote for. According to this poll, Golob even found himself in first place among politicians, ahead of Borut Pahor.
It is clear that this poll is not true, as all left-wing parties would get more support than before, although it was Golob’s phantom party that received the most support. In addition, support for centre-right parties is underestimated to influence public opinion. But the only real poll will be elections. That is why the election must be attended and cast a vote!
