Since the precedent occurred and came to light, more than six weeks have passed. And now the lines and threads in which a significantly larger number of victims will drown and politically suffocate are becoming even more entangled.
First, the State Prosecutor’s Office (DŠP) was drowning on its own, “sovereignly”, thinking we will manage somehow, we will “navigate” them through complicated legal formulations. But none of that. It was already half “blue”, if not slightly bluish from self-drowning. Then it borrowed from a lower-ranking establishment at the Ministry of Justice. It beheaded part of the bureaucracy, claiming to be clean, saying it mastered “cleaning up”. The fact that larger fish are still behind all of this and that the saying “a fish rots from the head down” holds true, as wanted to portray the “worldly” famous advocate for war criminals, is also evident in the fact that the “stench” is spreading to higher floors of decision-making structures. Part of this was clearly heard from SDS leader Janez Janša, who spoke on POP TV about the government’s affairs that we see day by day, as well as the announced interpellation. In the interview, he could not avoid mentioning the purchase of the building at Litijska 51 in Ljubljana, where, as a three-time prime minister, he is convinced that there is a broader circle of culprits for such a deal.
Janša very vividly explained to Uroš Slak that they cannot sell him the story that the prime minister knew nothing about this deal. As a three-time prime minister, he knows that the finance minister cannot transfer 6 million euros from the state reserve, intended for disasters, without the prime minister’s consent. According to the leader of SDS, the prime minister should ask the finance minister about the proposal before submitting the material to the government session. “Do not tell me that the finance minister can take 6 million euros from the state reserve without the prime minister’s permission,” Janša added, among other things.
Certified gravedigger of state-owned companies shares budget money with the left hand
In this very harmful “bungling”, to the detriment of citizens, we cannot avoid the impression that the actions of the man holding the position of finance minister, Klemen Boštjančič, previously known as a certified “gravedigger” of the former national airline Adria Airways, who handles state budget money like a happy drunk in a tavern, at the end of the day “drains” excess funds from the reserve without thinking that budget reserves are used for something other than Dominika, who urgently needs to buy something.
Now the same drunken “tavern-goer” expects an apology from the inattentive spendthrift and her cronies. Like, I give you, you spit on me. Soon, mini Olympic Games will take place with the central discipline being the “marathon spitting at the coalition partner’s moving target”. The main coach of the smaller partner wants to “sell” as many matches as possible before being fired and, of course, get more money for peaceful political second-league swimming.

According to Janša, even the minister of the state of Zimbabwe would not afford such practices. However, such a thing can happen when the minister gets the green light from the prime minister. And every prime minister would check the price and appraisal in such a deal.
But the sun kings do not need that. The money has already been transferred, and investments have already been made in sunny destinations. The drama is just for show. We can only hope that they will be twisted as soon as possible. In a normal country, they would have already been flushed into the political sewer. There is a fear that these mini Olympic Games in opponent spitting will have even more sub-disciplines, for which qualifying battles are currently taking place.
