June – a month of pride in families!

By: Dr Andreja Valič Zver

Let me begin with the world of sports, which in these days, with cycling and tennis spectacles, is at the forefront of global attention. Sports heroes of all kinds colour our grey and difficult reality, if only for a moment, into a vibrant and cheerful image we wish could last forever.

But sadly, this is not the case. Slovenians have been struck by a “divine punishment” in the form of the current government, which, through its arrogance, rampant looting, and steering our ship straight into an iceberg, demonstrates that it cares little for the Slovenian people and their fate. “After us, the flood” could well be the motto of their reckless rampaging across politics, the economy, education, healthcare, the judiciary, media, and all other areas of social life. We are all feeling the consequences of the Golob administration, and worse is still to come, as economic indicators on international rankings keep pushing us further down. Many Slovenians, as the ship sinks, passively console themselves with that centuries-old saying: At least there is no war. Yet war is not far off. The bloody conflict raging just a few hundred kilometres to the east of our borders looms over Europe like the Sword of Damocles.

The Russian-Ukrainian war, which many hoped would transition into a peace process with the start of Trump’s new term, continues to shock us from time to time with Russia’s brutal attacks on civilians. The peace negotiations have long moved past the warm-up phase, and it seems the American president and his advisors have lost faith in a swift resolution. As in the other dangerous conflict zone in the Middle East, the greatest victims of the war are the civilian population, and the truth.

June has so far offered little comfort in terms of an end to the military conflicts threatening to escalate into a confrontation of cataclysmic proportions. However, it did bring an interesting piece of news that passed largely unnoticed in Slovenia’s mainstream media. Of course, why would they report that medical evidence has confirmed that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is in fact male? Why revisit the biggest scandal of last year’s Paris Olympic Games? You surely remember the poster featuring a Christian church without a cross, and the blasphemous opening ceremony led by the French president and his wife, topics we covered in earlier columns. Well, it has now come to light that the Olympic organisers possessed medical records showing that the “female boxer” was actually a male boxer, who rightfully belonged in his own competitive category. But the Algerian wanted a female scalp, and got one, thanks to corrupt “sports” officials. Naturally, we will not mention the photo where the Algerian is being gazed at almost lovingly by the French president. That would be a step too far.

Let us return, then, to the month of June, which has been appropriated by the organisers of various so-called “pride parades” around the world. Let’s be clear: this does not refer to all same-sex individuals who live in line with their beliefs, harm no one, and do not seek the spotlight. This refers to degenerate, deluded, and unhinged psychopathic outbursts by individuals who should be receiving treatment in closed psychiatric institutions. Instead, with the blessing of authorities, they parade their grotesquely deviant behaviour in public spaces and events, in front of children and minors. Thus, LGBT+ has sadly become a dominant “religion.”

Common sense tells us we need to be protected, and this must be stopped. That is why I support MEPs Milan Zver and Branko Grims, who co-signed a draft EP resolution calling for urgent policies that promote higher birth rates, emphasise the importance of family, and strengthen appropriate educational systems. As part of this initiative, there is also a proposal to declare the month of June as Family Pride Month.

Let us be proud of our families, which have sustained our people for centuries. No LGBT agenda can deny or erase that truth. Are we aware enough of this fact?
