I heard that entrepreneurs are very dissatisfied with Golob’s government. Apparently, more and more entrepreneurs are now commenting that the Golob’s supporter have absolutely no plan to deal with the crisis that is on the horizon. With the problems on the world market of energy products, with growing inflation, with the fact that Slovenian credit is drying up abroad and there is also the fear of lowering credit ratings.
The forecast of economic growth, which was excellent during Janša’s government, has already radically decreased and its decline is not yet over. Apparently, a package of changes is also being prepared, especially in the area of taxes, budget funds will be diverted from infrastructure projects to the support of countless non-governmental organisations and so on.
In short, entrepreneurs estimate that nothing good is written about them and the economy in general. I will admit I would like to shed a tear or two for their suffering, but to be honest, I do not care about them. Where the hell were they during the election campaign? Now they are sighing that under Janša’s government, the economy was doing great, that the economic climate was good, and the prospects for the future were also good, as evidenced by numerous statistics at home and abroad. That Janša’s government listened to entrepreneurs, that they planned investments that would benefit both citizens and the economy.
Did virtuous entrepreneurs openly say this during the pre-election period? Did they openly say that the victory of Golob and the Kul will be poison for development and the economy? Supposedly, they watched the pre-election performances of the then opposition and realised where the wind was blowing? Did they gather their employees and tell them that Golob’s election victory would hurt the economy and threaten their wages and jobs as well? They did not.
The old Latins said: He who is silent when he should or could speak, affirms. So, they chose the pigeon dance and now they have nothing to complain about. That is how it goes, elections have consequences, as well as actions or non-actions…
