Four brave men on a daring mission in Kiev: On the way, may God protect Janša, Fiala, Morawiecki and Kaczyński with angels

By: Jože Biščak

The three Prime Ministers of Central Europe (Janez Janša from Slovenia, Petr Fiala from the Czech Republic, and Mateusz Morawiecki from Poland) and the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Chairman of the National Security and Defence Committee, Jarosław Kaczyński, are leaving for Kiev to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Very risky, but brave. The investment in the freedom and sovereignty of the countries closest to the invading Russia is too great and too important for the four indomitable and unimaginably courageous men to think of their own safety when death lurks on Ukrainian soil at every turn.

The dangerous trip to Ukraine is coordinated and organised in agreement with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council Charles Michel. This shows how important the visit in a wartime is. The four want to tell Zelenskyy, who did not cowardly flee Ukraine, that the European Union supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence. They will have to make their way across places where Putin is cutting death with military force. Although their safety is taken care of, it is still a very risky journey. This will send a strong message to Ukraine that it is not alone.

The visit was supposedly prepared in strict secrecy for several days, they are traveling by train. Details of the route are not known, nor is the place of meeting with Ukrainian leaders. The four are aware that not only Ukraine is at stake, but Ukrainians are also defending their homeland for other European countries, especially those right on the border with Russia. Crazy Putin not only left Moscow for Kiev, but also launched his military offensive against Europe. What we are seeing today in the land of wheat fields is just the beginning of something more sinister. And if evil does not stop today, it may flood even the old continent.

It is no coincidence that leading statesmen from Slovenia, Poland, and the Czech Republic are leaving for Ukraine. These three countries know well what Bolshevik and communist evil brings. Russia under Putin continues this ideology under cover, although it is doing its best to prove that it is democratic and that its elections are free. All three of these countries once felt the weight of this totalitarian military boot. Therefore, may God with angels protect the brave Central European quartet on the way and in Kiev: Janša, Fialo, Morawiecki, and Kaczyński.
