Discipline of judges continues

It is true that we are in the middle of an epidemic, which was abused for the purposes of extending the absolute statute of limitations in the Novič case, but we must note that in the judiciary there are no changes in the right direction. We have learned from reliable sources that pressure on judges is continuing relentlessly. Police detectives even chase judges in their spare time and make notes. The case of Ljubljana judge Ana Testen, who was quickly punished by the president of the Ljubljana district court Marjan Pogačnik by transferring her to the Kamnik court, which should not be a punitive measure because it is not, is another in a series of Pogačnik’s arbitrariness.

It should be reminded that Judge Zvjezdan Radonjić, who last year acquitted dr. Milko Novič. The acquittal was overturned by higher judges and Novič is now being tried for the third time, and court president Pogačnik has also proposed disciplinary proceedings against Radonjić. And this does not redistribute as in the case of Testen.

According to Pogačnik, Testen behaved inappropriately in her free time, which is recorded as an official note of a police officer from Grosuplje. You can read more on the following pages. Let us just mention the response of former constitutional judge Matevž Krivic, who told the Večer newspaper that even if these allegations were (or are) substantiated, this should first be established, i.e. the judge should also be given the opportunity to defend herself, then consider the weight of the conduct alleged against her – and then to carry out lawful further proceedings accordingly, if the weight of the offense so requires.

Otherwise, do you still remember the incident when the former president of the Supreme Court in one of Ljubljana’s bars gave instructions on who needed to be f****d? As a result, he was not transferred to the Kamnik court. He is still the Chief Justice today.
