Protests in Ljubljana Escalated: The Extremists Fired a Rocket at the Parliament Building, Threw Cubes and Even Spat on the Nova24TV Cameraman!

By: Sara Kovač / Nova24tv

The Nova24TV reporters found a whole range of extremely dangerous people at Wednesday’s protest on the Republic Square. They found extreme Islamists, Antifa terrorists, and members of the Green Dragons fan group. When the day turned into night, they struck: they fired a rocket at the building of the National Assembly, spat at the cameraman of Nova24TV, and there were even reports of the protesters throwing granite cubes into the Parliament building. The police had to use a tear gas cannon, as well as a water cannon. Individual groups of rioters were still fighting with the police even long after the rally was over.

Opponents of the introduction of the RVT conditions (recovered, vaccinated, tested) being mandatory in all aspects of life gathered in Ljubljana’s Republic Square on Wednesday evening, in front of the Parliament building. The protests were by no means peaceful and dignified but were instead accompanied with vulgarities, such as “there are not that many of you, you p*ssies,” and an arrogant man even spat in the camera of Nova24TV. A pyrotechnic device was also fired at the heavily guarded building of the National Assembly.

Our editorial office received photographic evidence that shows that dangerous people were mixed in with the protesters. The well-known anti-government protester Zlatan Čordić – Zlatko was also there – who is a sworn Muslim.

But that is not all. We also noticed a member of the extreme Salafist movement, Samir Balić, who, among other things, has threatened the Nova24TV editorial office in the past. Another person that was at the protests was one of the members of the Bosnian nationalist movement “Vjera, narod, država” (Faith, nation, country), Sulejman Merdanovič. The aforementioned political movement from Bosnia is led by the infamous leader Sanin Musa.

Member of the Antifa and the fan group Green Dragons further confirmed that the situation at the Republic Square could be dangerous. The protest was being led by the Kranj City Councillor and former member of the Slovenian National Party, Zoran Stevanović, who is building his policy on anti-vaccination claims at the expense of other people’s health. Anica Bidar was also at the protests.

The police wrote on Twitter that at the protests, “there was a mass violation of public law and order, where protesters threw bottles, granite cubes and pyrotechnics at police officers and the building of the National Assembly, so the police had to disband the protest.” “Since the crowd continued with its violations, coercive means were then used, and the intervention is currently still ongoing. We urge everyone to avoid the centre of Ljubljana, and above all, to follow the instructions and orders of the police,” they wrote.
