On Friday evening, a handful of provocateurs gathered again, wanting to overthrow the democratic government with the help of the street

On Friday evening, a handful of provocateurs gathered again, wanting to overthrow the democratic government with the help of the street. According to the police, about 700 of them gathered, 69 of them were punished for violating the Ordinance on the temporary ban on movement and gathering in public places, and eight for violating the Public Order and Peace Act.

Friday’s protests are losing their original strength, as only about 700 gathered yesterday, while at the beginning of the protests they talked about 10,000 people. Jaša Jenull, Svetlana Makarovič, Andrej Rozman – Roza and rapper Zlatan Čordić – Zlatko were among them yesterday.

While Jenull called for the fall of the government, Makarovič protested with her right hand raised, and Zlatko sucked up to the police and called into a megaphone: “Don’t be embarrassed, all you can get is a fine that we will pay.« All three, however, did not wear masks in a public place and in a crowd where they did not consider distance to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Police found a number of violations

According to the police, the protest took place as follows: At around 7 pm, the protesters began to gather on Prešernov trg, and then walked along Slovenska cesta and other surrounding streets to Trg republike, where about 700 people gathered. At around 8.30 pm, most of them left Trg republike, and around 150 participants gathered in the vicinity of Trdinova ulica.

Police officers performed tasks to protect the National Assembly, maintain public order and peace, ensure the safety of protesters, regulate traffic and monitor compliance with the Ordinance on the temporary general ban on movement and gathering of people in public places and areas in the Republic of Slovenia. The event ended on Trdinova ulica around 9 pm.

During the protection of the rally, the police found a violation of the Public Gatherings Act and 61 cases of violations of the Ordinance on temporary general prohibition of movement and gathering of people in public places and areas in the Republic of Slovenia, and these violations will be notified to the competent inspectorate. They also found eight violations of the Public Order and Peace Act, using coercive means against individuals for disobeying orders in four cases. Two of these persons were brought to the police station for identification purposes and released upon completion of the proceedings. In connection with this, the police established the identity of 64 people. They also continue to collect event notifications. In case of additionally detected misdemeanors or criminal offenses, they will act in accordance with the law.
