According to Jutarnji list newspaper, the situation in Bihać got out of control. On Sunday night, police had to intervene in an attack on a local who suffered severe stab wounds to the abdomen. While the police are still investigating the situation, they are also increasingly concerned about it, as according to police, hundreds of migrants live in abandoned houses in and around Bihać, and they have no control over them. According to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian authorities, they have already committed more than 3,000 crimes!

It was confirmed on Monday, that police in Bihać arrested three illegal migrants in an attack in which a BaH citizen was seriously injured. Police are still investigating an incident that has upset the public. “Three Moroccan citizens, two men and one woman were called to the Bihać police station. Informative talks are currently underway with them,” said Ale Šiljdedić, a spokesman for the Una-Sana County Interior Ministry.

Police detained those involved at the scene where the injured 34-year-old man was found on Sunday night. He was found to have been inflicted severe injuries to his abdomen with a knife, while doctors at the Bihać District Hospital are currently fighting for his life.

In the settlement of Prekounje, there are many abandoned buildings in which migrants live. According to the local media, it is not entirely clear to them how the incident could have happened during the period of tighter surveillance. However, the fact is that hundreds of illegal migrants in and around Bihać live completely uncontrolled because there is no room for them in reception centres.

Due to the burned refugee camp, the authorities expect that around 1,350 people, who are now left without a roof over their heads, headed towards the Bihać area, about 20 kilometres away. There are already about two thousand migrants living in abandoned buildings. The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided to transform the temporary tent camp Lipa into a permanent reception center. According to Jutarnji list newspaper, the migrants protested against their stay in the tent camp, and even refused food.

There are more and more incidents in Bihać, the police are worried

The Interior Minister of the Una-Sana Republic, Nermin Kljajić, said that the incident was a confirmation of numerous warnings that the situation could easily get out of control. So far, thousands of incidents have been reported, which could be linked to the migration crisis. “If someone commits three thousand crimes, misdemeanours and incidents in the district, moves freely without an identification document, then all these are arguments that migrants are a security threat to BaH. In a situation where we do not know who and what they are, we cannot defend them,” said Kljajić.
