»We are considering removing the Nova24TV logos from our cars, cameras and other technical devices, as we have been the target of verbal attacks several times, now also physical attacks. The safety of our journalists and cameramen is certainly the most important thing," said Nova24TV director Boris Tomašič after Zlatan Čordić's attack on the cameraman (HERE) yesterday.

The Dutch NOS was recently forced to withdraw its logos due to attacks and harassment, which was also condemned by the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ).

NOS editor-in-chief Marcel Gelauff described this as a defeat not only for NOS but also for journalism. But according to him, the safety of journalists comes first. Renate Schroeder, director of the European Federation of Journalists, agrees.

Tomašič thinks similarly. »Our journalists and cameramen are increasingly endangered, their safety is our priority,« says the director of Nova24TV, where the decision will be made in the coming days after careful consideration.
