Jaroslaw Kaczynski receives Covid jab

By: V4 Agency

The chairman of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party has received his first anti-coronavirus jab.

The chairman signed up, waited for his turn, and was administered the vaccine a few days ago, PiS (Law and Justice Party) Vice-Chairman Jaroslaw Fogiel told Wirtualna Polska‘s Tlit programme.

The former prime minister, 71, is feeling well and did not experience any side effects, Mr Fogiel said, but disclosed no details as to which manufacturer’s vaccine Kaczynski had received.

Asked why Kaczynski did not get inoculated before the cameras, Mr Fogiel said this was for reasons related to how Kaczynski sees politics.

“He probably thought that a better person could be found to promote the vaccine,” the vice-chairman said.
