Migrants caught stealing in Bosnia and Herzegovina

By A.S.

Migrants were caught on a security camera stealing in a local shop in the town of Kakanj, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Local media usk.ba reports that migrants broke into the store at around 2.30 in the morning, and set off the alarm.

The alarm awoke the nearby neighbor who detained one of the migrants until the arrival of police, while the other managed to escape. The police are now looking for the second migrant who was on guard during the robbery and escaped.

The neighbor who intervened lives above the store and has the store keys. When he reacted to the alarm he noticed that the doors were open. When he entered the store he saw a migrant behind the counter, who was unarmed, luckily for the neighbor. The migrant was then taken into custody by the police.

When the police asked the migrant why he was robbing the store he said he was hungry, but as the neighbor told the media, the migrant had in his jacket a purse full of money and several cigarette boxes. The migrant did not try to steal food, but only money and cigarettes.
