Jean-Marie Le Pen beats COVID-19 at the age of 92

By A.S.

French right-wing politician, the father of Marine Le Pen, Jean-Marie Le Pen, has beat the COVID-19 virus at the age of 92. While the Chinese virus is especially dangerous for the elderly, Le Pen wasn’t even aware that he contracted the virus and recovered from it without even being aware of the danger he was in, to the doctor’s astonishment.

One day before Le Pen´s diagnosis became public, his daughter and the leader of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen appeared on French television network BFMTV and urged her relatives in “fragile conditions” to accept vaccination. Her father however remained unmoved, saying that he is“not a fragile relative, but rather a strong one”.

Le Pen who was the president of the National Front from 1972 to 2011, and is a former member of the European Parliament, spoke about his COVID-19 experience, and about other topics in a recent interview, conducted in his office in Montretout à Saint-Cloud. He expressed his shock towards mainstream media’s aggressive campaign against Trump, saying that »the protests of Capitol Hill were not a coup d’état”. He also expressed his wishes for his daughter to win the French presidential elections in 2022, and praised the qualities of his granddaughter, Marion Maréchal, such as her “intelligence, courage, culture and will”.
