Confirmed Covid-19 cases up to 1,269, death toll unchanged at 61

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Slovenia rose by 21 to 1,269 after 1,023 people were tested on Wednesday, while the number of deaths remained 61.

The number of new cases was 28 the day before and when contrasted with days that saw comparable numbers of tests, both figures signal a decline in the curve that was flattened in the past two weeks.

Indeed, the government may discuss today plans to lift some of the lockdown measures, after already relaxing some restrictions effective on 18 April.

The number of hospitalised patients was up by three to 99 on Wednesday, while the number of intensive care cases was down by three to 31. Nine Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital.

The total number of tests conducted by Thursday stands at 38,137. Random testing, possibly starting next week, was announced on Wednesday.
