Princess Diana was secret lover of frozen burgers and McCain chips

A new Channel 5 documentary has lifted the lid on royal shopping habits – including Princess Diana’s love of frozen food.

A Channel 5 documentary has lifted the lid on what Princess Diana liked to eat.

In the show, By Royal Appointment: Shops Serving The Queen, Diana’s former protection officer Ken Wharfe speaks out on his experiences when food shopping with the princess. 

While you may think she would only shop in Harrods or Selfridges, it has emerged that Diana lived a much more simple life and preferred popping into high-street supermarket Marks & Spencer.

“Occasionally she would say, ‘Ken I need to go down to Marks & Spencer,'” says Wharfe.
